Basta um dia assistir ao pôr do sol no Arpoador, ou acompanhar os contornos soltos de Burle Marx pelos bairros. Logo, percebe-se: no Rio de Janeiro, a linha do horizonte é curva. Como é gostoso se deixar levar pelas ondas que vão além do mar e se concentram na paisagem ao redor: pelas montanhas de pedras que não são apenas prédios, pela natureza que parece se moldar aos feitos do homem para se manter exuberante. Sua riqueza, assim exposta às graças do mundo, foi a linha condutora para RIO, uma coleção de móveis que homenageia os desenhos da cidade. Cadeiras, bancos, poltronas e sofá são os integrantes dessa família. As curvas de cada peça revelam também parte da arquitetura modernista espalhada pela capital carioca.

All it takes is a day to watch the sunset at Arpoador, or to follow the loose contours of Burle Marx around the neighbourhoods. Soon enough, you start to realize that curves create Rio de Janeiro. How delightful it is to be carried away by the waves that go beyond the sea and also concentrate on the surrounding landscapes. In the stone mountains that are not just buildings; and in the nature that seems to shape itself around the man-made creations only to stay exuberant. The organic wealth of the city, so exposed to the world’s grace, was the conducting line to create RIO – a furniture collection that honours the city’s design. Chairs, stools, armchairs and sofas are the members of this family. The curves, so present in each piece, also reveal part of the modernist architecture spread around the ‘carioca’ capital.
