SPFW Verão 2011 • Istambul
Para apresentar mais uma coleção de Mario Queiroz – referência em moda masculina no Brasil – na SPFW, as referências vieram da exótica Istambul, cidade mais importante da Turquia. Por isso, o grande corredor do desfile foi preenchido com arcos, essas formas tradicionais otomanas tão presentes nas famosas mesquitas. Ao trazer um pouco de lá para cá, o público pôde imergir na apresentação das peças, que traziam túnicas, modelagens de sotaque mouro e estampas que remetiam à azulejaria e à tapeçaria.

To present another Mario Queiroz collection – a big name in menswear fashion in Brazil – at SPFW, the inspirations came from the exotic Istanbul, Turkey’s most important city. For this reason, the great hall of the fashion show was filled with arches, these traditional Ottoman forms are readily found in mosques. By bringing them here, the public could immerse themselves in the presentation, that brought tunics, modelling with a Moorish accent and prints reminiscent of tiles and tapestry.

O espírito do homem francês dos anos 1960 chegou à SPFW. A figura e a voz do ator Louis Garrel na trilha sonora também contribuíram para a imersão do desfile. Para completar a experiência, na cenografia, uma inspiração nos cafés franceses, com fachadas vermelhas, portas e janelas emolduradas e um ambiente interno aconchegante, onde os modelos interagiam com o espaço, concretizando a imagem de uma França presente no imaginário de todos.

The spirit of the French man of the 1960s arrived at SPFW. The figure and voice of actor Louis Garrel on the soundtrack also contributed to the immersion of the show. And to complete the experience, the scenography was full of references that came from the French cafes, with red facades, framed doors and windows and a cosy internal environment, where the models could interact with the space, realizing that image of a France so present in everyone’s imagination.

O ambiente de colunas espelhadas foi criado para inserir o público no desfile, ao mesmo tempo que remetia ao encontro dos nobres bárbaros – representados pelos modelos – com a rua.

The environment made of mirrored columns was created to insert the public in the runaway, while also referring to the meeting of the Barbarian nobles – represented by the models.
